Interesting bit of history. This was found by a friend of mine in the dunes of the beach near Vero Beach Florida after the hurricanes of a few years ago. Not sure what wreck it is from but other items from the 1715 fleet and an earlier shipwreck were also found.
Unfortunately not a lot of detail is left but you can make out what I think is a cob from Potosi. Anyways it is a nice chunk of silver at 33mm "square" and weighs 11.9gms.
